Hello beautiful and welcome to The Sophia Heart Initiative. I'm so glad you are here. It can be a daunting task to find the right support, especially because as women, we are ever evolving and changing. What we needed five years ago may not be what we need right now. Busy schedules, demands on our time, endless amounts of information can overwhelm and make it even harder to know where to begin. But here you are, taking the first brave steps to see if this might be it. And that is why I created this blog. My hope in sharing here is that you can get to know me a bit. Who I am, what I value, what I have learned, what I am still learning. Trusting a stranger with your inner most thoughts, your emotions, your tears, your pain requires vulnerability, an act of courage. I would like to honor that courage by creating a space where I share my vulnerabilities, where I am transparent with my struggles so you see your struggles are not so shameful, where together through truth, honesty, and a bit of humor, we can see we are all in this together, and together we are stronger. One of my deepest beliefs is when we begin to heal from the generational trauma we have endured as women, when we begin to awaken to the truth that we are beautiful, unique souls with many gifts, strengths and offerings, we can change the world for the better, just by being.
Personal sovereignty can be defined as having the capacity to act as the conscious author of your own life. That is what my healing journey has brought me, to my own personal sovereignty, something I never dreamed I would possess as a former people pleasing empath with a very strong tendency to fawn at the slightest glance of disapproval. Being the conscious author of my own life means I have choice, I have agency, and that has created a whole new world where I no longer have to live in fear and anxiety. Through this self-trust I now have discernment, and intuitive knowing. I can now interact with others from a more empowered place. I can now be more proactive in building community, creating friendships, sharing love. I used to think I was broken beyond repair, that so many things happened to me I would never recover, that I was lost for good. I could not have been more wrong. There I was, underneath all that self doubt and self criticism, waiting to be revealed. And you beautiful soul, are shining too. Right now, just as you are. You just need to look within.
